Chinese Bit by Eddie Gibson, Ken Brooke, Joe Riding, Sylvio Dokov
(c. 1972) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Chinese Bit was invented and created by Eddie Gibson c. 1972 as his wonderful variation on the popular Connie Haden effect Copper, Silver, Brass and it was popularized by Ken Brooke and Joe Riding also later with a wonderful multi-phase routine by Sylvio Dokov.
Effect: Three previously examined coins are used. an American half doliar. an old type English penny and a Chinese coin. The penny and Chinese coin are placed in the right hand, the half dollar in the left. Without any suspicious moves, the coins transpose!
The penny is placed in the pockel but instantly returns to the hand. The hall-dollar vanishes from the hand and appears in the pocket. Next, the Chinese coin and the penny transpose with the remaining coin in the hand.
This is repeated, with variations, but iat the end of all this series of bewildering surprises the coins are handed out for examination again. You will be amazed at the precision with which these coins are produced.
