Card In Bottle by Ron Gilbert

This is a new version of Ron Gilbert’s famous CARD IN BOTTLE TRICK. The first that were made in 1954 were of glass … indeed all subsequent bottles were in glass with various labels and improvements over the years, especially with the sleeve material. This new version, a PLASTIC BOTTLE is great because when dropped it won’t break … it is also much lighter to carry around!

Effect: A small clear bottle is shown to be genuinely empty. The cap is screwed back on and the bottle stood on the table in full view. A card is chosen by a member of the audience and returned to the pack. On the performer’s command the card vanishes from the pack and is found inside the bottle.

It is impossible to get the card out of the bottle, so  how did the magician get it in? He really must be magic!
