No-Fake Card Frame by Mel Babcock, Joe Berg, Viking Mfg.

(c. 2011) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

The No Fake Card Frame was originally produced by Joe Berg when he had the Princess magic Shop in Chicago. Other companies like the National Magic Co. and Supreme Magic have also made this, but not until George Robinson added an internal mechanism that holds the cards in place did this effect become really popular and much more useful.

George’s mechanism allows the performer to control the production of the card(s); no more awkward upside-down frame handling, etc. The No Fake Card Frame is also supplied with two gimmicks so that you can now produce two cards! Again, a Viking original addition.

This version was created and painted beautifully by Mel Babcock – and what a sight they are.

Effect: The effects are varied but basically the frame is opened and shown to be completely empty. It is closed and handed to a spectator to hold. A card or cards are selected and caused to vanish from the deck. The missing cards are found each time the doors are opened. The frame can be handled by the spectator without fear of detection.
