Bafflin Boomerangs by Woodmagic Studio

Effect: This is a wonderful optical illusion. Two wooden boomerangs of equal length are displayed, one dark the other light. The performer states that he can make one longer than the other and proceeds to do just that. First the dark one is shown to be about 2″ longer than the light. Then the performer casts his spell and now the light one is longer than the red one. This is a non-gimmicked version with fine hard woods from the elusive Howard Hale.

P&L and later Haenchen and Viking created a mechanical version which began the same and then ended up with an actual change in size.
