(c. 1973) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Effect: A finger ring is borrowed from a spectator. The ring is placed onto the bolt and secured on by the nut. A padlock is placed through a hole in the bolt, securing the ring on the assembly. The magician holds the bolt in his hands, under a cloth. On the count of three, the magician shows that the ring has escaped from the nut and bolt, with the padlock still locked in place!
This can also be done without the finger ring and the nut escapes from the bolt with the padlock in place.
