4 Square by 3D Magic Works

So this is the first of at least twenty new effects from Kent Bergmann and his amazing new line: 3D Magic Works. Kent fired up his new business late last year and based on my first impressions and all of these wonderful testimonials I’m in for a wild ride!

Kent has made a triumphant return to magic manufacturing and is clearly in it to win it. He has created a custom 3D fabrication process, a brand new website, matching packaging and instructions and currently has created a very unique line of 3D Magic props that currently numbers twenty effects.

This first item happens to be one of my favorite effects based on Box Office from T.A. Waters. This is the perfect size too for walk-around with a simple and fast reset so if you were looking to slap in a neat mentalism effect into your bag with some interesting and modern looking props, now you have it!

Effect: The performer presents an ornate box and removes the lid to reveal four different colored cubes (red,yellow, blue & green), all with bronze bases. The spectator is asked to name any one of the four colors . . . free choice. The performer then removes the selected color block from the box and places it next to the lid and states that he/she had made a prediction prior to the spectator’s selection. The performer proceeds to say that the prediction can be found under the lid that was placed on the table earlier. The performer lifts the lid to reveal absolutely nothing, “. . . but that would of been pretty cool though, huh?” The lid is replaced on the box and the performer turns the box around to reveal that there is a drawer in the box. The performer opens the drawer to reveal one square chip. The chip is flipped over to show the exact same color which was selected by the spectator.

The light brown parts of this set are 3D printed using a beautiful filament that has been infused with genuine wood. The bronze parts are 3D printed using a unique filament that has been infused with genuine bronze alloy. The drawer is lined with red velvet.
