Geography George by Steve Taylor
(c. 2001) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This is a fun routine with oversized jumbo cards inspired by David Ginn’s Lucy Strikes Gold from David’s book Professional Magic For Children. This effect is based on the 1974 Supreme Magic effect called Jolly Polly.
It is a fun effect that is easy to do and has a good message about the joys of reading aimed at younger children.
Effect: Three large size cards are shown and then shuffled. Unfortunately, no matter how hard they try’, the audience cannot find the card with the character George on it. Finally, George is found on the card previously shown to be a picture of Earth and placed aside in a folder.
