This is not going to rate as your highest quality effect or as a great new technical marvel or as anything too original – and the deck of cards that comes with the trick should be thrown in the trash as soon as you get them. They are the worst quality I have ever seen!
However, the effect is actually very strong and I think if you do buy this you really could have a fooler on your hands. It is easy to do with no complex sleights or reset. To me it is very like John Cornelius’ Instant Pro replacing the wallet with the picture frame and without the stronger gags. The routine tries to add some fun into the mix, but I think Instant Pro is stronger – and probably easier to perform too.
Basically the effect is as follows: you remove a clear picture frame from a little blue drawstring bag. You then place a card, back showing facing the audience into the frame. They then choose a card (and can sign it) and you cover up the frame with the bag. At a snap of the fingers when you pull away the bag and turnaround the frame their card is seen in the frame. Complete with their signature!
Effect: By using this novel, easy-to-use system, a card which is chosen and signed by a participant appears in a photo frame that has stood in front of the audience since the beginning of the show.
“AMUSEMENT, RISK, SUSPENSE……
These are the three elements contained in this pretty velvet-looking bag .”
By saying so, the magician starts his routine, while from the bag, he produces a card deck and a photo frame with a card inside it. The photo frame face is put downwards so that the card cannot be seen.
Now, the magician spreads the cards from the deck on the table, asks the participant to choose one of them, to show it to the audience, to sign it on the front and to return it to the deck. Finally, the cards are shuffled.
The artist reminds the audience that when he started the performance he said the bag contained three elements:
“Amusement”, so he comments,” We are having fun, aren’t we?”.
“Risk”, he produces $100 and asks, “Apart from me, will anybody else take the risk of betting some money that the card chosen by the participant is similar to the one in the photo frame?”
“Suspense” and he sits the photo frame on the table, covering it with the bag.
He adds that if the bet is too little, there is still some more money in the bag. Then he says,”What´s important is to spend a good time all together, so let’s play anyway. The bet will be $ 100 against $ 0 .
Holding the photo frame, the magician exclaims, “Remember this is suspense time!”
He holds the bag with his index finger and thumb, and removes it to show the card on the photo frame front. Happily, he explains that the card is not just similar to the one chosen by the participant, but that it is the chosen card its elf, as he turns the photo frame and shows the signature.
Finally, he removes the card from the photo frame, asks the participant if the signature on the card is his, and lets the members of the audience check over all the items.

Andy Martin –
Low tech, Low quality, but effect still looks good.
