The Card Tripod by Morrissey Magic

(c. 1970) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

The Card Tripod is a popular item manufactured by many dealers over the years including: Martinka, Klingl, Willmann, Rotterberg and P&L.  Most Card Tripods only allow a single change but some allow for a double change. Discussed in Hoffmann’s Modern Magic (pg. 139) and more extensively in Dr. Albo’s Classic Magic III (pg. 41).

The Morrissey Magic version is made in heavy copper buffed, polished and laquered.  It is not as elegant as the P&L version, but still one of the better quality items released by Canada’s Morrissey Magic.

(Notice: some of the laquer on this one has come away, but the copper still looks great.)

Effect: In effect a miniature table and a cover are shown. A card is selected and torn into pieces are placed on the table, except for one piece which is given to a spectator to hold. The cover is then placed over the table for only a second and instantly removed. To the astonishment of all the card is found in its original position, with the exception of one corner, the corner held by the spectator which is found to fit perfectly.

The card tripod can be held by anyone during the performance. Many other effects possible, change a selected card to a card silk, confetti to flowers or candies, torn and restored paper, mental effects, etc..

Manufactured in heavy copper buffed, polished and lacquered A BEAUTIFUL PROP – one you’ll be proud to own.
