Mini Match by Nick Trost
(c. 1987,2005) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)From Nick Trost’s wonderful Card Magic of Nick Trost and Precursor XIV (January, 1987).
Effect: In effect, two regular-size cards, each with a paper clip attached, are lying face down on the table. These are the performer’s prediction cards. A miniature deck is now spread face down, and two spectators each push out a miniature card from the spread. One miniature is clipped to the back of each of the two regular cards. When each pair is turned face up, it is seen that in each case the miniature matches the regular card. These are, say, matching 5C’s and matching 9S’s. The suit color of both pairs happens to be black. When the rest of the miniature cards are ribbon spread face up, they are seen to be all red suits. A double surprise!
