Magician’s Poker (Ghost Deal) by Martin Lewis

(c. 1974,2007) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

Effect: This effect, originally known as Ghost Deal, developed by Martin Lewis under working conditions at Carter’s Magic Cellar in San Francisco, is highly commercial, yet almost self-working. The cards are automatically re-set after each performance, and important asset to the close-up or trade shows worker. The routine, which starts out as an unusual poker deal with entertaining patter, is climaxed by a true and surprising magic effect. It’s based on and Old West Gambler who always has the winning hand.

This is a great routine if you like poker deals or if you like 4 ace effects. It combines the basic plot of McDonald’s Aces with a poker deal and is highly effective. It also 100% resets itself. It is not drawn out either you go straight into the action and leave them wanting more.
