Leaders Royale by Doug Gorman, Paul Mims

This effect is an adaptation of Brother John Hamman’s “Knavish Deuces,” published among other places in Richard Kaufman’s “The Secrets of Brother John Hamman.”

Effect: Four black spot cards and four red spot cards change places, depending on where their leaders are located. That is, in spite of the magician’s repeated attempts to mix them, the spot cards always unmix, demonstrating their loyalty to their leaders. Then, just when you are convinced that they are indeed loyal, they demonstrate that, like deuces, they can actually become wild, by taking on the appearance of their respective leaders.
