The Modern Coin Cup by Doug Brewer

(c. 2003) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

Details: (From the introduction by Doug Brewer) When you look at these routines, you will immediately see that the cup is almost always incidental to the magic happening. I want to draw as little attention to the cup as possible. In some of the routines you will end clean, that is, the cup could be handed out for inspection. This is required so infrequently, however, that I don’t even worry about it anymore.

Spectators are more interested in the magic than, “hey, let me see that trick cup.” I attribute this both to the routining and the deceptiveness of the cup. I hope you try all the routines in this book, then pick out your favorites to use.

The cup is perfect for carrying around for informal occasions (that is why I titled my routine in The Unexpected Visitor, The After Dinner Trick). However, I know of several magicians (including myself) who regularly use this in their walk-around venues!

Good luck and have fun with your Coin Cup!
