Details: Running from January 1, 1942 through February 19, 1954, The Phoenix (a Periodical of Stage Magic) features 300 issues packed with magic. Walter Gibson and Bruce Elliott edited the bi-weekly periodical, with Mr. Elliott taking the reins in 1944. Including the indexes, The Phoenix boasts 1,242 pages! It was designed to take the place of Annemann’s Jinx which it largely achieved.

Six Volumes, each with 50 issues. Each 4-page issue brought 3 to 5 well versed, practical tricks on a biweekly basis. The most talented magicians of the time contributed their best ideas to The Phoenix; effects that fooled magicians and lay people alike.
