Details: Jean Hugard was one of the most influential magicians of the 20th century. He became a professional magician in his native Australia before coming to the United States where he performed in many venues, including his own theatre on Coney Island. He was the author, ghost writer or editor of nearly fifty books and pamphlets on magic and was the founding editor of “Hugards Magic Monthly.” This monograph covers his long career and includes a colored frontispiece, illustrations, a checklist of his publications and an index.
