This is my most recent and main demo table for my Speed Demos in the Porcupine. I spent the first nine months of owning this table simply using it as an ideal performance area. It is very solid and beautifully made from oak with an antique cherry finish. It is the perfect size for most of the props I demonstrate.
Then as I started to pull together effects for my upcoming holiday shows it became clear it was the perfect practice and storage device for all the effects I was ever likely to perform and I loaded it up with all the effects in my list. However, when it came to using it for live gigs I realized I would need to take steps to strip it down when I did my shows and I came up with a refinement to my plan.
I talk about my progression with the Gig-Rig in the videos above .
It is complemented perfectly by three custom close-up mats from Patt’s Mats, though my favorite is the Burgundy one.

Effect: A powerful design of extreme versatility, functionality and beauty, this case is an excellent performance and rehearsal space for the close-up or stand-up magician. Fashioned by woodworking artisans in Northern California, this elegant oak case with antique cherry finish is destined to be a collector’s item. The power of The Gig-Rig, unequaled by other cases, is its ability to enable the performer to access many utilities while seeming to keep both hands visible to the spectator. Provides easy storage, transport and access of props.

This is my most recent and main demo table for my Speed Demos in the Porcupine. Although I currently don’t get close to using all the features, I’m sure over time many of them will come in handy.
